We started our journey in September of 2011 when I (Pasha) purchased my first camera. Yes it was a Nikon, nothing against Canon or Sony or any other brand, just the camera that I chose at that time. So it was me, my one camera and two lenses, now what? I knew that I want to take pictures of people and thought I would be rather good at it, after all, I graduated from an art school and had plenty of photography classes under my belt. So I started offering free photo sessions to anyone and everyone. This is where my passion for capturing people and raw emotions grew as well as my collection of lenses and other camera gear. Many people encouraged me by their reactions to pictures I captured. Fortunately for me, I was my own worst critic and this helped me drive my camera, composition and image editing skills in the vertical direction. In 2012 I ended up shooting my first wedding for a friend. I was so nervous the entire wedding. You know how you have that "butterflies in your stomach" feeling? Yep that was me that day. At the end of that night I realized how much I enjoyed it and how much skill and effort it takes to shoot a wedding, I loved it! I truly fell in love with capturing weddings! I was hooked, and that is how I got into wedding photography. Today, Plugovoy Photography is made up of a team of creative and talented photographers from different backgrounds of life. I was very selective putting this team together; making sure everyone’s photography style and personality align to what I envisioned Plugovoy Photography to be.
